Max was a joy and an inspiration to teach at a time when he had to put up with more than his share of discomfort physically. Max never complained. I will always remember his broad and dazzling smile, his wicked sense of humour, his mischief with his friend.

I particularly remember his enthusiasm in PE lessons. Max was super, and a pupil that I have never forgotten.

I am so very sorry to hear of his passing - he was a smile in the world!
